The treatment room at Health Pod Frodsham, with a cream treatment bed and rolled bolster centred between dark timber cabinetry, a shelved alcove and two shuttered windows.

A relaxing massage treatment using specially shaped wooden tools alongside hands-on massage. The rhythmic movements and adjustable pressure make it an invigorating way to ease muscle tension and take time out for yourself.

Why people choose it

  • A deeply relaxing, invigorating massage
  • May help ease everyday muscle tension
  • Time out to reset and look after yourself
  • Pressure tailored to what feels comfortable for you

What to expect

Your session begins with a short chat about any areas you'd like to focus on or avoid. Your therapist then combines hands-on massage with wooden tools, adjusting the pressure throughout so it stays comfortable. Some temporary redness or tenderness afterwards is normal. Drinking water and taking it easy for the rest of the day is recommended.

Wood therapy is a complementary massage treatment, not a medical treatment, and results vary.
